Before & After

In short, botox is a treatment used to remove or prevent wrinkles. We usually apply Botox to areas such as around the eyes, between the eyebrows, forehead, nose root. According to the application area, it is called eyebrow botox and forehead botox. Apart from facial botox applications, botox is also used for the treatment of excessive sweating. It also provides a solution to this problem with underarm botox. Botox in a short time.

What is Botox (Botox)?

Botox (Botox) is a product produced from a biological substance called “Onabotulinumtoxina”. Botox is not snake venom. Botox is a protein-based drug. The aim of Botox is to create a controlled paralysis in the muscles in the desired direction and at the desired level. There are many tiny muscles under the skin in the face area. With the contraction of these muscles, wrinkles form on the facial skin over time. With Botox application, a certain period of time in the desired muscles; that is, a temporary loss of motion is created. With facial botox, wrinkles are eliminated and people have a younger and fresher appearance.

What are the Botox Usage Areas in the Face Area?

Botox can be used in all areas where there is a problem such as eyebrows, forehead, around the eyes, around the lips in order to prevent wrinkles in the face area. Appropriate areas are determined in the area where the wrinkle exists and botox injection is made. One of the most frequently applied areas is the eye area. These wrinkles, which are also called crow’s feet lines, are solved with the botox process around the eyes. Forehead botox is also a common procedure. It provides an effect on lines and wrinkles in the forehead area.

One of the application areas of facial botox is the vertical lines between the eyebrows. To remove these lines, botox is applied between the eyebrows. For people who think that their eyebrows are low, eyebrow botox can be applied to shape and lift eyebrows. Botox is also used for vertical lines and wrinkles extending from the nose area to the lips. It provides an effect especially on lines and wrinkles descending from the rim of the mouth to the chin. Chin botox can also be applied to wrinkles in the chin area. Sagging on the cheek is one of the aesthetic problems seen with age. Botox also provides support in this regard.

Botox can also be used in suitable people to eliminate asymmetrical problems in the face area. E.g; If there is an asymmetry at the moment of a smile, this problem can be resolved. In case the upper gingiva is too prominent while smiling, an aesthetic visual effect can be achieved with botox.

Clenching and chewing continuously can cause some people to enlarge the masseter muscle, ie the jaw muscle. This muscle width in the chin can visually disturb the person. With the masseter botox applied in this problem, the muscles do not work and weaken over time; this softens the square face image of the person in the future and allows it to turn into a V shape. Masseter botox is also called V line – V line botox.

In Which Other Areas Is Botox Used?

Apart from the face area, botox is also used for wrinkles and line problems in the neck and décolleté areas. Botox also provides a solution to the problem of excessive sweating with its blocking effect on sweat glands. Underarm botox is a very effective treatment method for people whose social and work life is affected by excessive sweating.

To Whom Is Botox Applied? Is There an Age Limit for Botox?

Botox can be applied to men and women of all ages with wrinkle problems. Botox is not applied to people with neuromuscular system diseases, bleeding problems, pregnant women and women who are breastfeeding.

Although Botox can be applied in earlier age groups for therapeutic purposes, the recommended age limit for its application for cosmetic purposes is 25. Botox can be applied from the age of 25. Botox prevents possible wrinkle formations at an early age; If there are wrinkles at older ages, it is used to eliminate this problem.

How Is Botox Made?

We can define Botox as a drug that temporarily weakens or paralyzes the muscles. Botox is administered in the form of injections; that is, it is injected into certain areas with a botox needle. Botox injection; It is a very fine tip injector. Before this procedure, an anesthetic cream is applied to prevent pain. This cream prevents pain caused by botox injection. Then, botox injection is provided to the problematic areas. Although the duration of the Botox procedure may vary according to the number of application areas, it usually takes 10-15 minutes.

When Does Botox Effect Start and How Long Does It Last?

With the Botox application, the wrinkle problem is practically eliminated for a certain period of time. Botox begins to show its effect in 3-4 days from the day it is applied. Botox shows its full effect in 7-10 days. Although the effect of the botox process varies from person to person, it usually lasts for 7-8 months. If the botox has lost its effect before or after this period, the botox application can be repeated. Generally, botox treatment to be done every 4-5 months in the first application periods, every 6 months in the following applications, and once a year after the regular application is sufficient.

The frequency of application of Botox may vary depending on the size of the facial muscles that the person has and the continuity of using the facial muscles. E.g; botox application may be more frequent in men; because men have larger facial muscles. If the person makes a lot of facial expressions, regardless of male or female, Botox treatment may need to be applied at frequent intervals.
